Today’s Medicoengineering d.o.o. – established in 1968 – was created after merging with AICO-MED d.o.o., a successor to AICO d.o.o., founded in 1989. Initially, the company was an authorised servicing company for sterilisation equipment, hospital beds, water-treatment devices and infusion-solution equipment, manufactured by a range of foreign companies. In the subsequent years, we have gradually won more and more exclusive dealerships for several world-class manufacturers of medical equipment.
After upgrading the company’s and its employees’ specialisation in 1995, Aico d.o.o. has won a contract for disinfecting infectious waste. For some time the company was actively involved in the rather different businesses of medical equipment and waste management. After obtaining the exclusive dealership for a German manufacturer of operating tables, lights, stands and operating theatres, we have decided to separate the two lines of business in two companies.
Thus, all the know-how in the field of medicine and medical equipment was transferred to the newly established AICO-MED.
The new company’s strategy was to expand its advantages in the field of medical equipment across operating theatres by resorting to its own personnel. Our company’s distinctive marks are efficiency and flexibility, as our staff are in charge of the entire supply process: from marketing and import, to installation, maintenance and regular servicing of the equipment. As the company matured, our marketing and promotion efforts have gradually shifted to a long-term perspective.
Medicoengineering was acquired as a legal entity with its goodwill and references dating back to 1968.
